Epilogue

Maine Jewish Film Festival 2014 Satellite Screening

It is morning in the small Tel Aviv apartment of Hayuta and Berl, an elderly Israeli couple troubled by frailty and poverty. After years of struggle, they find it increasingly difficult to adjust to modern Israel and the sea of social change surrounding them. A marginalized generation, the revolutionary dreams they had for the country they helped build now seem illusory. As Hayuta and Berl decide to leave for one last journey, Epilogue conveys their frustration and loneliness while celebrating the greatness of the human spirit. 96 min. In Hebrew with English subtitles.
