Monterey Pop

Please Note: This film is no longer showing at Railroad Square Cinema

If there was single music event that kickstarted the incredible ‘60s, it was not Woodstock but the 1967 Monterey Pop festival, bringing together the previously widely unknown Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin and the already iconic The Who, Jefferson Airplane, The Mamas and the Papas, Simon and Garfunkel and Otis Redding. 50 years from the  date of the festival, we’ll be premiering a spectacular new 4K surround mix digital restoration of the iconic film that brought this unbelievable assemblage to audiences worldwide. Be there and be at the Square! Unrated. 78 Min.
